MIKE CLARK gained worldwide recognition as one of America’s foremost jazz
and funk drummers while playing with Herbie Hancock’s group in the early
1970’s. Mike became known as a major innovator through his incisive playing
on Hancock’s Thrust album, which garnered him an international cult following.
Called “the most sampled drummer in hip hop” Mike’s beats
have been used on tracks by musicians as diverse as NWA, Grandmaster Flash,
Britney Spears, Prince and many others.
Mike is currently busy touring with his own Prescription Organ Trio / Duo, featuring
Jerry Z, doing clinics and performing at clubs and concerts nationwide. He’s
also a regular in pianist Mike Wolf’s band, Impure Thoughts and continues
to do Headhunters’ projects around the world.

Thomas Lang
A native of Vienna, Austria, Lang took up drums at the tender age of five. Inspired
by a televised performance of a heavy metal band, Lang assessed (quite rightly!)
that he wanted to be a drummer because the drummer, “got to sit down” and “looked
like he was the boss.”
In addition to years of private tuition, Lang was formally educated at the Vienna
Conservatory of Music. As the youngest student enrolled at the legendary institution,
early on Lang received a diverse education in a multitude of styles including
Jazz, Classical, Fusion and Big Band? After leaving the conservatory, Lang began
working professionally – slowly working his way through the European Pop,
Rock and Jazz scenes. Working obsessively (sometimes with up to 15 projects
simultaneously) Lang earned his stripes by working with some of Europe’s
most demanding recording and touring outfits including Falco, John Wetton, Bonnie
Tyler and many others.
Thomas Lang was voted "Best Drummer of the 2006" in the Rhythm Magazine
Readers' Poll.
